About the work
This site was built for The BBC to help people plan how best they could reduce their carbon footprint, it was called Bloom - Smart Choices For The Carbon Conscious.
We made a rich interactive environment led by a little character called Phil (as he worked as a filter - geddit?). Phil asked visitors a series of personal questions and then hurried off to the "cloud" and got the most suitable carbon cutting ideas for that individual.
Visitors to the site could pledge to undertake the ideas Phil gave them by growing flowers - hence the name Bloom.
The site was built at magneticNorth with the BBC team working alongside us, the flowers are generative pieces and were made by Danny Brown. My job was creative director, illustrator and designer.
